Within 10 minutes you are in the city of Oneonta - with shops, restaurants, mall and movie theatre. Next door to Elena's is one of the last 19th century mills to survive intact - Hanford Mills Museum. Here you can see a working mill waterwheel, a blacksmith forge and a gift shop with mill-made products and toys.

For baseball families, the All Star Village in Oneonta is only 15 miles away and the Dreams Park in Cooperstown a leisurely 23 miles away.

The Adirondack Trailways System does go to Oneonta and Delhi but a vehicle is necessary for getting around. In the winter time the area does get snow. If you are unfamiliar with driving in snow, and driving on hills in snow, search tips on popular sites like AAA.

• Early check-in or late check-out may be available but will not be determined until 2 days prior to check in or check out. Any changes are subject to availability and include an additional fee.

If you require an early check in or late checkout it is recommended to book an additional day.

Quiet Hours & Neighbor Respect

• Pond is natural and not treated, not for swimming
• Supervise children at all times around bodies of water

Wildlife Awareness
• Located in a rural Catskills setting with active wildlife
• Common sightings may include deer, raccoons, foxes, and coyotes
• Insects and occasional rodents are part of the natural environment in rural areas
• While the home is professionally cleaned and maintained, sightings of ants, insects, or signs of wildlife may occur, especially seasonally
• Do not leave food or trash outside or unattended indoors

Winter Travel (October–April)
• Rural, mountainous roads can be unpredictable
• AWD, FWD, or 4WD recommended
• All-weather tires with good tread required
• Avoid rear-wheel drive vehicles in snow or ice
• Driveway is plowed and shoveled every 3–4 inches of snow
• Shovel provided for guest use
• Salt is not provided—guests are advised to bring some if needed
• Host and service providers cannot provide roadside assistance or tow services
