Such a beautiful home nestled away in an idyllic little community. The house was spacious, clean and looked even better than the photos depicted. Kim was very informative and quick to respond to any questions we had. Brushland (the restaurant next door) is a MUST if you're staying here and looking for an amazing dining experience. I highly recommend this house and the town of Bovina for your next New York adventure.

Not worth it. The listing is overpriced for what we received: - Kitchen is not well-equipped. No wine glasses or wine key, flimsy plastic plates, old electric coil ring stove (that smoked when turned on), old and stained kitchen towels. - Garbage and recycling from previous guest left. - Dead flies throughout, including along all windows and around beds. Live lady bugs in every room. Wasps in the laundry room. - Bathroom has a corroded sink and broken taps. Water is cloudy. Washcloth was dirty. - Single pane old windows leak cold air and road noise (you are right at the main road's edge). - Front steps does not have a railing and they are painted wood, so are extremely slippery with rain and snow. No salt or shovel. - Wood stove is in an empty room, so you cannot sit around it to enjoy the fire. - Rooms are basically empty besides furniture, e.g. no pillows, blankets. - Listing is managed by an agency, so no special attention is given to issues although communication is consistent.

This is a fantastic town and a fantastic location within the town - right next to an incredible restaurant (Brushland Eating House). The house is very nice and thoughtfully designed (very minimalist), and the host is incredibly kind and responsive. A few things to consider when booking this house is that although the listing implies that "all the essentials for summer cooking" are available, there are actually very few things available in the kitchen if you really intend to cook in the home (if you book this home and intend to cook / host dinners, I would bring your own supplies. There was a maintenance issue in the house during our stay, but the hosts responded immediately to repair and were very kind / fair regarding the issue. All-in-all I would recommend this place *if* you don't cook / intend to go out for meals or you're okay bringing all of your own supplies.
